The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification revealed on the 7^th that it held the “2016 Chungcheong Area 4^th Anniversary of the Heavenly Ascension Joint Service for Sharing Love” in the indoor gymnasium of Sun Moon University in Asan, Chungnam, on the 6^th.

According to the Family Federation, this event was held with the topic, “For a World of Becoming One with a Culture of Heart and Filial Piety” for the 4^th anniversary of the heavenly ascension of Reverend Sun Myung Moon, and participated by 3,500 Family Federation members, peace ambassadors and local residents from Daejeon, as well as from the areas north and south of Chungcheong.

At the event on this day, the ceremony took place in the order of the declaration of opening by Chungnam Parishioner In-Young Song, a presentation of flowers to the Daejeon Parishioner Seung-Il Lee and his wife, followed by a Chun-Il-Guk holy song, the Family Pledge, a reporting prayer by Chungbuk Parishioner Yoon-Ho Ok, a viewing of the “The Flower of Hope that Blossomed in Heart and Culture,” a commemorative video, a welcoming message by Sun Moon University President Seon-Jo Hwang and a speech by Family Federation Korean President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu.

Korean Family Federation President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu said, “This 4^th anniversary event is a ‘Seonghwa Festival,’ and was the beginning of a culture of heart that introduced the new beginning of the culture of Seonghwa,” and added, “With the coming of this 4^th anniversary of the heavenly ascension, I truly hope that all of you can become the hope of the world with the light of filial piety, thus bearing the fruit of heart and culture.”

The Family Federation is proceeding with neighborly activities such as delivering rice, hosting a bazaar and other volunteer service activities in each region. The “Joint Service for Sharing Love for the 4^th Anniversary of the Ascension of Reverend Sun Myung Moon” events began with the joint service at the Dae-Jung Kim Center in Gwangju, Honam, on the 2^nd of October. And then they continued to take place in the Baekryung Arts Center in the Gangwon area on the 9^th of October, as well as in the Olympic Hall at the Olympic Park in Seoul, on the 16^th of October and at the Bexco in Busan, Youngnam, on the 23^rd of October.
