The World President of the Women’s Federation, Yeon-Ah Moon, is reciting a message of the founders at the 25^th anniversary of the founding of the Women’s Federation for World Peace and the Unification Hanmadang Festival that took place at the Plaza of Love of Namwon, Jeonbook, on the 10^th.

“Let us lead the way towards World Peace and North and South Unification with the heart of a mother.”

In commemoration of the “25^th anniversary of foundation,” the Women’s Federation for World Peace held a celebration ceremony and the Unification Hanmadang Festival at the Plaza of Love in Namwon, Jeonbook, from 10 AM on the 10^th.

The event was attended by 3,000 members of the Women’s Federation, local leaders and citizens of Namwon, including, the International President of the Women’s Federation, Yeon-Ah Moon, the Korean President Young-Seon Choi, the Mayor of Namwon, Hwan-Ju Lee, the President of Namwon City’s Assembly, Seok-Bo Lee, the Female Director of the Ministry of Health of Jeonbook, Cheol-Ung Park, the President of the North and South Unification Movement National Assembly, Kwang-Seuk Song and members of Jeonbook’s City Assembly, Sang-Hyeon Lee and Yong-Ku Kang.

On this day, through a message by the founders called “World Peace and the Role of Women,” President Yeon-Ah Moon premised, “In the 21^st century, women must work with men to form a team and become the driving force in world history,” and added, “The role of women in the process of creating an era of love and culture instead of power and technology has become very important.” She then said, “Awakened women are the center of love, peace and service. World peace itself resides within a mother in a family, the school of love and morality, which were the initial fundamentals,” emphasizing the importance of women peace movements.

In the congratulatory message, the Korean President of the Women’s Federation, Young-Seon Choi, looked back by saying, “The Women’s Federation is an NGO of the Economic and Social Council of the UN, and has walked the path of women peace movements for the realization, “Humankind as one family and World Peace,” based on maternal love, and emphasized, “Today we are wrapping up a quarter of a century of history of the Women’s Federation, so let the next 25 years be full of preparation for North and South Unification by investing and investing for our future generations.”

Through his congratulatory message that was recited by Director Cheol-Ung Park, Jeonrabookdo Governor Ha-Jin Song said, “A mother is a being that always gives us comfort and strength like the lenient bosom of Earth and warm sunshine of Spring,” and passed on his message by adding, “Because such hearts have gathered here today, this event is even more valuable. I truly congratulate the 25^th anniversary of the founding of the Women’s Federation.”

In his congratulatory message, the Mayor of Namwon, Hwan-Ju Lee, expressed his respect for the peace activities that the Women’s Federation had executed over the years by saying, “The effort to maintain peace has continued alongside the history of mankind. I think that even at this moment many people are making an effort. Peace has always been protected by the effort and conscious behavior of someone, and was never simply established without doing anything.”

The Mayor of Namwon is giving a congratulatory message at the ‘25^th Anniversary Ceremony and Unification Hanmadang Festival’ of the Women’s Federation that took place, on the 10^th.

The event on this day began by a Pungmul Traditional performance by the “Aju” Pungmul team of the Incheon branch of the Women’s Federation, with the topic of “A Dream of Unification! The Path of Peace and Beautiful Country,” and the program proceeded in two parts.

The first part was the celebration ceremony and was officiated by the Korean Vice-President of the Women’s Federation, Seong-Soon Hong, and proceeded in the order of the Pledge of Allegiance, the reciting of a message of the founders by the International President, Yeon-Ah Moon, a commemorative message by the Korean President Young-Seon Choi, the congratulatory messages of Jeonbook Governor, Ha-Jin Song (Reciting of Director Cheol-Ung Park), the Mayor of Namwon, and the President of Namwon’s City Assembly, Seok-Bo Lee and the delivery of award certificates to 45 outstanding members.

The second part was the “Unification Hanmadang Festival.” Korean traditional music and drum performances, a recitation of a poem for unification by the Chairman of Board of the Women’s Federation, Jong-Uh Ko, songs by the Women’s Federation’s choir, as well as a song by member Kimura Junko about the longing for unification, took place and the event reached a climax with the “Unification Performance.”

“Let us create a dream of unification, a path of pace and a beautiful country with the heart of a mother.”

The Women’s Federation for World Peace held the Unification Hanmadang Festival at the Plaza of Love at the Chunhyang Theme Park in Namwon, Jeonbook, on the 10^th, to celebrate the 25^th anniversary of its founding, and wish for peace on the Korean Peninsula and North and South Unification.

At the event on this day, leaders of women’s organizations from around the country and 3,000 citizens participated, including the President of the Women’s Federation for World Peace, Yeon-Ah Moon, the Korean President of the Women’s Federation, Young-Seon Choi, the Mayor of Namwon, Hwan-Ju Lee, Municipal Assemblyman of Namwon, Seok-Bo Lee, members of the city and provincial assembly and Female Director of the Ministry of Health of Jeonbook, Cheol-Ung Park.
