Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, giving proposals for overcoming domestic and international crises pertaining to Korea, as well as her vision for the future of Korea.

Held throughout the nation until June… national awareness education [training], development of various campaigns for the practice.

On April 30 at the KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center) in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (of which Korean president Kyeung-Seuk Ryu) held the “Hope for Korea! Vision Rally for the Harmonious Unification of the Nation” (Vision Rally) under the topic, “Let’s go forth and open a new era of a unified Korea through the practice of true love and living for the sake of others!”

Marking the beginning through the Seoul ∙ Incheon ∙ Gyeonggi-do Gangwon-do combined metropolitan region rally on this day, these Vision Rallies will be held throughout the regions of Yeongnam, Honam and Chungcheong, as well as the Youth and Students Rally, until June.

On this day, with over twenty-thousand participants, comprised of VIPs and members from FFWPU, politics, religion and academia at this Vision Rally, it was seen as a great success.

FFPWU-Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu revealed that “We held this rally with the purpose of going forth towards a new Korea, with a spirit of love and harmony, while healing the wounds from the resentment and strife from the impeachment [of the previous president],” as the background regarding the opening of this “Harmonious Unification Vision Rally.” In addition, President Ryu stated, “We are placed in the midst of danger with heightening tensions along the Korean peninsula regarding the issues of North Korean nuclear experiments and deploying the THAAD (Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense) missiles, as well as the opposition and division caused by the removal [from office] and imprisonment of our [previous] president and intensified polarization caused by the economic recession.”

This event acts as an extension to the history and timeline of the various activities that Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon of FFWPU have initiated for the realization of peace and unification of North and South Korea. Throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s, they implemented the Victory Over Communism (VOC) Movement to prevent a war from occurring on the Korean peninsula, and to fortify a national movement to fight against Communism. In addition, in the midst of the Communization of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in 1975, they held the “World Rally for Korean Freedom” at the Yeouido Plaza in Seoul, with over 120,000 people in attendance from home and abroad, uniting the Korean people; and thus, presenting the directions and mission location assignments throughout the world.

In the 1990’s when the Korean peninsula was heading towards crisis due to the North’s nuclear development, they visited the North, and directly met and talked with then-Premier Kim Il-Sung. Following this encounter, they sent previous heads of state from each country associated with “World Summit” to Pyongyang, and demanded for the suspension of nuclear development in North Korea, and for the cooperation surrounding a peace policy for the Korean peninsula.

President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu emphasized that “This rally will convey a message of hope for both the vision regarding the future of Korea and the proposal for overcoming domestic and international crises alike, and to establish the grounds for national awareness education in preparation for the approaching era of unification.”

At the metropolitan region Vision Rally, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, FFWPU International President Sun Jin Moon, President of the Women’s Federation for World Peace Foundation, Yeon-Ah Moon, President of the Universal Cultural Foundation Hoon-Sook Moon, National Assembly member Seon-Dong Kim of the Liberty Korea Party, Guri-si Governor Gyeong-Hyeon Baek, Chairman of the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea Myeong-Cheol Jo of the Liberty Korea Party, Head Monk Sang-San (of the Jogye Order Euncheon Temple), previous Ministry of Science and Technology Minister Ho-Gun Park, Former President of Seoul National University of Education Ho-Seong Kim, President of Sun Moon University Sun-Jo Hwang, local and provincial assembly members from the metropolitan region, peace ambassadors and FFWPU members from the metropolitan region were in attendance, totaling to greater than twenty-thousand participants. In addition, leading figures from the National Assembly and political parties, including Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly Ju-Seon Park, Assembly member Jong-Seong Im of the Democratic Party of Korea and Assembly member Yong-Tae Kim of the Bareun Party, gave congratulatory messages at this occasion.

FFWPU-Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu is serving as the host for this Vision Rally.

With FFWPU-Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu acting as the host for this event, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, under the topic of “Heaven’s providence and Korea’s mission viewed from the history of human civilization,” emphasized how “Beyond becoming the [lamp] light of Asia, with various nations, we must open a new age of the Pacific Cultural Sphere, and expand this throughout the world. If the Atlantic Cultural Sphere era from two-thousand years ago was the era of extortion, then through practicing true love for the sake of others in this Pacific Cultural Sphere age, we can establish ‘A world of one family under God.’”

Dr. Han also stated, “The International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, found in February, 2016, held an inauguration ceremony in the Caucus Room of the Capitol, with a total of three hundred parliamentarians gathered from multiple continents, of which at least eighty are American senators and representatives, just ten months after its founding. We are continuously establishing the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace and Unification across 120 nations throughout the world.” In addition, Dr. Han stated that she “requested for them to completely fulfill their responsibility as tribal messiahs in their respective countries, as the path towards peace, and to become messiahs.”

Dr. Han stated how “The hope of both Heavenly Parents and ours is to live in the peaceful unified nation of Korea,” and further emphasized, “This hope cannot be realized through political might, religious forces or any sort of ideological power. It can only be resolved through the True Parents.”

Chairman Myeong-Cheol Jo stated, “I was moved by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s courage and conviction when they proclaimed how the Juche Ideology cannot pioneer the way of the future for our people, in front of then-Premier Kim Il-Sung and top leaders of North Korea in the 1990’s.” In addition, he stated, “Only by being unified through true love can we all be happy together, and true love is the only path for the survival of our people.”

Following this message, Assembly member Seon-Dong Kim stated as part of his congratulatory address, “I express my respect and heart of gratitude, while having seen Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s life course. Under the philosophy of Love Heaven ∙ Love Humankind ∙ Love One’s Country, I hope that these Vision Rallies being held by the FFWPU will provide a new hope for our people.”

On this day, the participants unanimously adopted four clauses of the Vision Rally declaration, clarified by the following proposals, with the meaning of expressing one’s commitment and determination for overcoming domestic and international crises, and for the harmonious unification of the people.

  1. Initiating peace projects throughout the entire world for the realization of the peace on the Korean peninsula, and standing at the forefront of building a DMZ peace park and promotional activities for the establishment of the fifth UN Secretariat [in Korea].

  2. Going forth with dedicated support for enterprises that cultivate global leaders, while promoting proper growth of the future generation [of leaders] who will lead the fourth industrial revolution age, as the hope of Korea.

  3. Being at the forefront of leading the movement for the practice of true love as a community, for the sake of promoting relationships and the happiness of diversifying family structures.

  4. With this Vision Rally for the harmonious unification of the nation marking the beginning, being at the forefront of leading the movement for the restoration of values for the establishment of an ideal society, that has a life lived for the sake of others through true love at its core.

Following this event, these Vision Rallies will be held on May 14 at the Yongnam region rally (at the BEXCO (Busan Exhibition and Convention Center), May 28 at the Honam Region rally (at the Kim Dae-Jung Convention Center in Gwangju), June 3 at the Youth and Students Rally (at Imjingak, in Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do), June 4 at the Chungcheong Region rally (at Sun Moon University, located in Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do), across the five main regions of Korea, with an expected 120,000 participants in attendance. In addition, the national awareness education training program will be executed for two million people across -si ∙ -gun ∙ -gu, and -eub ∙ -myeon ∙ -dong [administrative divisions] in preparation for an age of a unified Korea, along with the initiation of various movements that patriotic citizens may participate together in..... “Let’s overcome the crises pertaining to Korea,” FFWPU is holding a Vision Rally for the harmonious unification of the nation, at Ilsanseo-gu on April 30.

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, leader of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), is giving the keynote address at the “Hope for Korea! Vision Rally for the Harmonious Unification of the Nation – Seoul ∙ IncheonGyeonggi-do ∙ Gangwon-do Combined Metropolitan Region Rally,” held by FFWPU on April 30 at the Ilsan KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2, in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Family Federation for World Peace and Unification held the “Hope for Korea! Vision Rally for the Harmonious Unification of the Nation – Seoul ∙ IncheonGyeonggi-do ∙ Gangwon-do ∙ Combined Metropolitan Region Rally,” under the topic, “Let’s open a new era of a unified Korea through the practice of true love and living for the sake of others!,” at the Ilsan KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2, in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do on April 30.

Korea is currently in a dire situation with issues stemming from home and abroad.

From aboard, with continued provocation from North Korea through their 4th and 5th nuclear weapons experiments and frequent missile launches, there has been conflict between Korea, the USA and China surrounding the issue of deploying the THAAD to counteract these experiments and missile launches. President Donald Trump is being conspicuous in abolishing the FTA (free-trade agreement) with Korea and promoting protectionism.

Within Korea itself, its citizens are divided and in conflict with each other over a premature presidential election, with issues stemming from Soon-Sil Choi’s political scandal and climate for impeachment, such as the political gap, the verdict made by the Constitutional Court of Korea for the impeachment of then-President Park Geun-Hye, along with the investigation and arrest of her prosecutors. Korean citizens are undergoing turmoil, due to increasing unemployment rates caused by continuing economic recessions, steep spikes in consumption, low economic growth and political polarization.

In the state of such turmoil, FFWPU is seeking for a plan to overcome the hardships Korea is currently  experiencing, and is holding these Vision Rallies for the harmonious unification of the nation, for the preparation for the inevitable era of unification through harmony of the Korean people under the banner of “a place for national awareness education.”

As part of making its first strides towards this goal, at the metropolitan region Vision Rally, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, FFWPU International President Sun Jin Moon, President of the Women’s Federation for World Peace Foundation Yeon-Ah Moon, President of the Universal Cultural Foundation Hoon-Sook Moon, National Assembly member Seon-dong Kim of the Liberty Korea Party, Guri-si Governor Gyeong-Hyeon Baek, Chairman of the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea Myeong-Cheol Jo of the Liberty Korea Party, Head Monk Sang-San (of the Jogye Order Euncheon Temple), Former Ministry of Science and Technology Minister Ho-Gun Park, Former President of Seoul National University of Education Ho-Seong Kim, President of Sun Moon University Sun-Jo Hwang, local and provincial Assembly members of the metropolitan region, peace ambassadors and FFWPU members from the metropolitan region were in attendance, totaling to greater than twenty-thousand, with great success. In addition, leading figures from the National Assembly and political parties, such as Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly Ju-Seon Park, Assembly member Jong-Seong Im of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Assembly member Yong-Tae Kim of the Bareun Party gave congratulatory messages at this occasion.

With FFWPU-Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu acting as the host for this occasion, the agenda for this Vision Rally comprised of the opening ceremony declarations; recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance to Korea; introduction of VIPs; congratulatory addresses; watching a video called, “The path towards harmony and unification through true love for the sake of others;” the offering of flowers from Su-Gyeong Choi, the Co-Chairman of FFWPU-Korea Headquarters of the Incheon ∙ Gyeonggi-do region; the keynote address given by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the adoption of declarations for the harmonious unification of Korea; three cheers of Eog Mansei lead by Jeong-Ho Park, the Co-Chairman of FFWPU-Korea Headquarters of the Seoul area. Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, under the topic, “Heaven’s providence and Korea’s mission viewed from the history of human civilization,” stated, “Last year in December, in the Caucus Room of the Capitol in Washington, D.C., with 300 current parliamentarians gathered from around the world, of which about 80 were members of the Senate and House of Representatives, we finally established the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace. These parliamentarians then said, ‘We must go forth on the path upon becoming one with True Parents.’ I then told them, ‘The path towards peace is one of fulfilling your responsibility as tribal messiahs upon going back to your respective countries. Become messiahs yourselves.’”

“After hearing how the great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore wrote, ‘In the Golden Age of Asia; Korea was one of its lamp bearers; And that lamp is waiting to be lighted once again; For the illumination of the East,’ I thought, ‘Korea must become the lamp bearer not only for Asia, but together with various Asian countries, she must open a new era of the Pacific Cultural Sphere, and expand it throughout the world. In the age of the Pacific Cultural Sphere, we can realize a world of one family under God through the practice of true love.’ Let’s move forward! Let’s move forward and unite and practice true love.”

The Committee for Human Rights in North Korea Chairman, Myeong-Cheol Jo expressed his respect and heart of gratitude through his congratulatory address, stating, “I was deeply moved by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s courage and conviction when they proclaimed how the Juche Ideology cannot pioneer the way of the future for our people, in front of then-Premier Kim Il-Sung and top leaders of North Korea in the 1990’s.” In addition, he stated, “Only by being unified through true love can we all be happy together. Happy unification, a happy nation and a happy global village, are goals you all must pursue through your strength. True love is the only path for the survival of our people. I will also take part in this path.”

National Assembly member Seon-Dong Kim of the Liberty Korea Party, conveyed his respect and heart of gratitude towards Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon in his congratulatory address, while shedding new light on their life course, in which they would provide the path that the Korean people, and Korea as a whole, must go during times of national and worldwide crises, always being the first to move and mobilizing their global foundation. Kim further emphasized, “Now, we must overcome division and opposition, and we must move forward towards a new Korea with a spirit of love and harmony. I have come to feel a new sense of hope at this Vision Rally for the harmonious unification of the nation held by the FFWPU under the Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s and Hak Ja Han Moon’s philosophy of Love God ∙ Love Humankind ∙ Love One’s Country. Through this, Korea can overcome its domestic and international crises. I also hope that we can head towards a bright future centering on these future-oriented visions and values.”

In addition, Vice-Chairman of the National Assembly Ju-seon Park, Assembly member Jong-Seong Im of the Democratic Party of Korea, Assembly member Yong-Tae Kim of the Bareun Party, and National Assembly member Sang-Hyeon Yun of the Liberty Korea Party gave congratulatory messages at this occasion.

At this time, the participants unanimously adopted the “Hope for Korea! Declarations for the Harmonious Unification of the Nation.”

The declarations indicate that “Recently, we as a nation have been experiencing various domestic and international crises. Due to the abuse of political power and greed, our politics and economy have plummeted, and day by day, the state of our national security is approaching a critical point. At this time when we as a society must cry out in harmony with conviction and trust, instead hostility is intensifying among ourselves. This can no longer be tolerated. We must reach out and go forth towards a better future with all of our strength. We just must absolutely end all opposition and conflicts, and open the path of becoming one.”

To open up such a path, the following were clearly proposed to be put into action:

  1. Initiating peace projects throughout the entire world for the realization of the peace on the Korean peninsula, and standing at the forefront of building a DMZ peace park and promotional activities for the establishment of the fifth UN Secretariat [in Korea].
