New York Special Rally

“Peace Starts with Me”

On July 15, twenty thousand people gathered at the Madison Square Garden

in New York, and many religious leaders representing Buddhism, Hinduism,

Judaism and Islam also joined in.

On September 7, the 5th Anniversary of the Seonghwa of Rev. Sun Myung Moon and the International Marriage Blessing Ceremony will be held, with thirty thousand

people from 194 countries expected to participate, and will be broadcasted live

around the world via Internet.

The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (hereafter referred to as “FFWPU”), held the “Madison Square Garden Special Peace Rally” under the theme, “Peace Starts With Me: A Modern Solution to Our Divided Culture” at the Madison Square Garden in New York, USA, on September 15 (local time). This rally is the fourth (hosted by Dr. Hak Ja Han) large- scale peace rally with more than ten thousand participants, following the events held in Korea, Japan and Thailand earlier this year.

In this event, around two thousand participants from 43 countries attended including Dr. Hak Ja Han, the Evangelical Advisor for the Trump Administration, Pastor Paula White, US Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, Former US Congressman Dan Burton, Former Special Envoy for the Six Party Talks Joseph DeTrani, Family Federation International Chairman Sun-Jin Moon, Women’s Federation for World Peace International President Yeon-Ah Moon and many political and religious leaders.

The event was attended by over 100 churches and religious leaders representing Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism and Native American spiritualism. The event was broadcasted live via internet.

The event began with welcoming remarks by FFWPU-USA President Michael Balcomb and the Co-Chair of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) Archbishop George Augustus Stallings Jr., followed by a performance by Grammy Award-winning Gospel singer Pastor Hezekiah Walker, as well as a performance by the interdenominational 2,000 voice choir from 70 churches. An opening prayer was given by the Evangelical Advisor for the Trump Administration, Pastor Paula White, followed by welcoming remarks from FFWPU North America Chairman Ki-Hoon Kim, introduction of the keynote speaker by Pastor T. L. Barrett of the Life Center Church of God in Christ, the keynote speech by Dr. Hak Ja Han. The event proceeded with congratulatory remarks by US Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, a performance by Apple Heaven, a performance by the International Dance Team, as well as a performance by Grammy- Winning Gospel singer Yolanda Adams.

The FFWPU Chairman of the North American Continent Ki-Hoon Kim said, “On July 4, Independence Day, I thought of God’s blessings for America as my friend showed me around the American monuments, the Statue of Liberty and the Hudson River,” and also said, “Dr. Hak Ja Han came here to solve all pain and problems in the American family and society. America should never forget that God has blessed this nation.”

Dr. Hak Ja Han gave a keynote speech on the theme of “The Providence of Heaven and the Mission of America as Seen in the History of Human Civilization.” Dr. Han said, “God has raised America as a blessed nation to prepare for the foundation of the Second Advent, who said, ‘I will come again.’ America was established about 200 years ago, and became a very powerful nation in a short period of time. This was possible because of the blessings of God,” and also emphasized, “America is a blessed nation in God’s providence and has responsibility. America faced a predicament where we could not see the future because of its individualism, family breakdown and youth problems. Even though we were not in a situation to support America, because we are the True Parents, we had to overcome many struggles to stand here today.”

She also said, “God does not call out to the nation or the central figure who cannot fulfill its responsibility. This is because they have to indemnify the remaining responsibility. Thus, God has chosen the Korean people of Asia, and in 1943, the only begotten daughter was born,” and added, “Korea and Japan is in the center of God’s providence and America was blessed as the elder son nation by True Parents. When these three nations become one and become the shining light in front of the world, an environment will be created where 7.4 billion people can gather together and become one towards the light. A world of true freedom, equality, peace, unity and happiness is not far away. When all of us here gather together and become one with True Parents living for the sake of others and practicing true love, we can build one world with our own hands. "

Fourth large-scale event held by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han

The event on this day was the fourth large-scale event held by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han at Madison Square Garden. On September 18, 1974, the great rally, called the “Day of Hope” event, was a phenomenal success, with the 25,000-seat capacity exceeded by an additional 20,000 guests, who were, unfortunately, unable to enter the event, despite the installation of an additional 5,000 seats.

In the heart of America, Rev. Sun Myung Moon spoke on the subject, “The New Future of Christianity” by pointing out the ills of extreme capitalism, which America was falling into, which sparked great interest in the American society. Also, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han held the 2,075 couple marriage blessing ceremony at Madison Square Garden in 1982, and in 1998 held another interfaith marriage blessing ceremony. The blessing ceremony, which emphasized the importance of chastity and family values in the heart of New York, was deeply embedded in the memories of Americans. At that time, the joint blessing wedding photographs are still on display inside Madison Square Garden.

Since the 1960s, Rev. Sun Myung Moon has been pursuing the American mission based on the belief that America is God's hope. In the United States, where racial discrimination and ideological bias were severe at the time, he set forth to establish an enlightened value system for the family and society.

During the early years of American mission, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han purchased the Belvedere Training Center and East Garden estate located outside of New York City, and sanctified them as holy grounds. The Belvedere Training Center is a historic place where Rev. Moon met with many world leaders, and talked about the importance of peace and pointed out the way of America. During the following 40 years, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han gave numerous public lectures and rallies pointing out about the Unification Church providence. And since then, Rev. Moon has toured to more than 120 countries around the world.

On June 1, 1976, the “New York Yankee Stadium Rally” was held to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of America, and was filled to capacity with 50,000 people. At this event, which was held in the midst of extremely hot weather, Rev. Sun Myung Moon said, “There is no hope in America if we do not stop the threat from the Communist Party and the ethical breakdown of youths. I have come to America as a doctor and a firefighter.”  At that time, Rev. Moon was featured on the cover of Newsweek on June 14, 1976, as a notable person of interest.

On September 18, 1976, Rev. Moon also delivered a speech at the Washington Monument to raise awareness of America's mission to unite the world, before a gathering of 300,000 people. On the Bicentennial of America’s independence, Dr. Moon’s spoke on the subject of “God's will and America.” He pointed out saying, “America must become a bearer of the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth as a model nation of the unified world.”

As the Family Federation was expanding its congregation, they also delved into the culture business. The New Yorker Hotel, the first modern hotel in mid-town Manhattan, was acquired in 1976, making it the centerpiece of world missions.

The New Yorker Hotel was the largest hotel in New York City in the 1930s and the pride of America. It is located right in front of Pennsylvania Station, the main station of the Amtrak railroad, connecting New York to all areas of America, and it is only a five-minute walk to Korea Town. The New Yorker Hotel has also hosted prominent figures including former President Jimmy Carter and Nicola Tesla. The New Yorker Hotel and neighboring Manhattan Center are renowned for various cultural performances and events.

The White House recognizes the role of the Family Federation

The Family Federation actively participated in the education and media fields within American society. The Family Federation acquired the University of Bridgeport located in Connecticut, and founded The Washington Times, a mainstream daily newspaper in Washington, D.C. The University of Bridgeport is regarded as a specialized university in the fields of healthcare, engineering, design and education.

The White House has also acknowledged the role of the Family Federation. From former President Richard Nixon to former President Barack Obama, regardless of party affiliation, several Presidents of the United States have met with Rev. and Dr. Moon and have sent congratulatory messages to various Unification Church events.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon met with former President Dwight Eisenhower, former President Richard Nixon and former President Gerald Ford to discuss America's path, as well as world peace. On the anniversary of the founding of The Washington Times, former President George H. W. Bush, former President Ronald Reagan and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher delivered congratulatory messages.

Rev. Moon warned that God is leaving America during his lifetime. He warned that “If you do not act boldly to eradicate problems such as murder, rape, racial discrimination, youth depravity, extreme individualism, dangers of Communism and religious conflicts, there will be no hope for this country.”

In September, 2012, after the Seonghwa of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, Dr. Han has compiled The Three Great Scriptures of Cheon Il Guk, a collection of speeches by Rev. Moon. Following the enactment of the “Constitution of Cheon Il Guk,” a church provision, a 13-member Supreme Council was appointed, as well as the five main Offices (won), were promulgated. In addition, the “HyoJeong World Peace Foundation” was established to raise future talent, and build the “Peace Road” campaign to build a world of peace and the “HyoJeong Cheonwon” complex. The “CheonJi SunHak Won” has also been progressing. In addition, the “Cheon Il Guk Academy” and the “Unification Science Academy” have launched. Thirteen countries have also been designated to realize the vision of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon. The Family Federation has set the direction and activity goals for “VISION 2020” to be fulfilled by 2020.

Additionally, the “IAPP” was established by continent, and a global meeting for global win-win solutions was held at the Jamsil Lotte Hotel World on February 4 of this year. More than 800 former and current parliamentarians and heads of states from 120 countries around the world attended the assembly, and two co-chairs of the IAPP and 13 leaders, who were appointed as regional co-chairs of IAPP, were also inaugurated.

The Family Federation was able to stand up as a world religion because it focused on mission activities centering on the United States early on. Rev. Moon and Dr. Han arrived in Washington, D.C. on December 18, 1971, after laying the foundation in Korea. d on the continent, and a global meeting for global win-win was held at Jamsil Lotte Hotel World on February 4 this year. More than 800 people, including former and current leaders of the world and 120 members of the world, attended the ceremony, and 13 co-chairs and 13 continental chairs were elected.

Following the tour of 40 countries in 1965 and 21 countries in 1969, the third world tour, which lasted for about 156 days from December 5, 1971 to May 8, 1972, faced difficulties from the start. It is also a symbolic event that shows that it is not easy to act in the US, which is like the impenetrable "Jericho Castle."

On December 18, 1971, through customary entrance into the US, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han started the “World Providential Course.” In October, 2004, Rev. Moon delivered a special lecture tour in four major cities around the United States and said, “I came to awaken Christianity in America and to unite other religions, in order to make it a stepping stone towards world salvation, which is the heavenly mission, and 34 years have already passed.”

After finishing their American mission course, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han returned to their homeland after 34 years, and this was a period that can be regarded as Koreans setting a new milestone in the world mission history.

Rev. Moon and Dr. Han spent the New Year at the Washington, D.C. Church in 1972, and announced the “Protecting the Unification Frontline” as a motto for the New Year. At that time, Rev. Moon emphasized to the believers that the democratic world faced a desperate crisis, due to the threat of Communism, and that Christianity should take an active role in overcoming the crisis. So, in order to raise awareness to Christianity in America, and to call for preparation to the Americans to combat the threat of Communism, he launched a seven-city rally from February 3, throughout the United States.

The American mission was as impregnable as “Jericho”

In culmination, Rev. Moon organized the One World Crusade, that is, the International One World Crusade (IOWC), on January 8. The IOWC was the engine that played a central role in social missionary activities between 1972 and 1974. The IOWC actively engaged in evangelism, especially on college campus, and, by 1973, 40 IOWC were placed in every state. On this basis, the speech tour went smoothly.

Also on February 2, Rev. Moon held a historical rally to open up the event on Wall Street in New York, under the theme, “Rally of God,” and was about to receive great coverage from the media, including a television interview on Channel 7.

Of course, from February 3 to March 6, the Seven Great City Speaking Tour including New York, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Berkeley, was a great success. The poster for the rally says, “God Speaks Today,” and the speaker introduced “A new Christian leader of the East, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, who evokes a new spiritual awakening.”

There was an immediate reaction after the historic speech rally at the Lincoln Center in New York on February 3. There was a rush of letters that corresponded to “the most appropriate speech for young people of this age.” Newspapers and broadcasting companies competed to secure coverage of this event, such as interview request. A mainstream New York publishing company also requested a publishing contract. On February 5, the third day, Rev. Moon responded to an interview request by TV show, the Al Capp Show, which had over 60 million viewers. The speech rally in New York, which was the first gateway to proclaiming the Word to the world, concluded in this way.

During the speaking tour on February 9, Rev. Moon delivered a talk about the mutual cooperation with writer Pearl Buck, a Nobel Prize winner, for about an hour and a half. After the lecture, he met with nine Senators and eight Congressmen from the United States. On February 19, The Washington Post and The Evening Star released an interview report with Rev. Moon, and also, one of his speeches was recorded at the George Washington University Lisner Auditorium.

Rev. Moon and Dr. Han declared that they came to this land in order to revive the Christian spirit and start a revolution and to urge America's awakening through the Seven City Speaking Tour. And from the press at the time, it was evaluated that “Moral degradation has led to the dark reality of family and youth resorting to the position of irresolvable turmoil, and has sparked a new spiritual revolution.” Through the Seven-City Speaking Tour, Rev. Moon had made a successful debut in the United States and highlighted it to the world.

After the successful completion of the Seven City Speaking Tour, the 21-city “Day of Hope” was held over four months from October 1, 1973 to January 29, 1974, addressing the subject of “Christian Crisis and New Hope.” In order to publicize the 21-city speaking tour to the American people, a full-page advertisement was published in the New York Times on September 7. After the speeches held at the Carnegie Hall in New York on October 1-3 and the Baltimore Rick Rink Theater on July 7-9, a full-page advertisement on the content of the speech was released in the Washington Post on August 8.

Also, the speaking tour continued with great success in the following cities: October 11-13 in Philadelphia, 16-18 in Boston, 20-22 in Washington, D.C., 26-28 in New Orleans, October 30 to November 1 in Dallas, November 3-5 in Tampa, 6-8 in Atlanta, November 26-28 in Omaha, November 30 to December 2 in Minneapolis, December 4-6 in Cincinnati, 9-11 in Detroit, 12-14 in Chicago, 16-18 in Kansas City and the 20-22 in Tulsa.

On the day before the speaking tour, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han held a dinner party to kick off the “Day of Hope Tour,” inviting active community leaders. During the period of the public speaking tour, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han received the Key of Fortune from the Mayor with the support from all leaders, a Letter of Appreciation and Words of Encouragement, an Honorary Citizen Certificate, and was also warmly received for the setting of “Unification Day.” During the beginning of his speech, he made the announcement of the speech published through the full-page paid advertisements in the New York Times and the Washington Post; however, everywhere he went after this, the localities were competing to publish articles and the mood was buoyant.

From February 15 to April 20, 1974, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han held a public speaking tour in 32 metropolitan cities, excluding the 21 cities, on the theme of “The New Future of Christianity.” They held a banquet on the day before the rally. At this time, influential newspapers in every location were also competing to publish articles. Mayors and governors presented Certificates of Appreciation, Honorary Citizenships and Keys of Fortune. Letters of Appreciation were also sent from neighboring cities.

40 City Speaking Tour which Shook America

The speaking tour began in Portland (Feb. 16) and concluded in Honolulu (April 20). From September 17 to December 23, 1974, speeches on the “Day of Hope” were held in eight major cities including New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. It was the last day of the 40-city speaking tour across America during the 4th World Tour. On the first day, a dinner party was held, and the speaking tour commenced on the second day.

The New Hope Choir and Han-Seon Dance Group also performed.

In particular, ahead of the New York speech rally on September 17, 1,700 prominent figures were invited to a banquet at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. Jean Dixon, a prominent American prophet, testified to Rev. Moon and Dr. Han, and many other media, including 6 TV stations in America, were also in the spotlight.

The following day, on the 18th, the speech held at Madison Square Garden in New York was crowded with about 30,000 people in attendance. In addition to 25,000 reserved seats, an additional 5,000 seats were installed. It was filled with 10,000 people even before 7 o'clock, so we had to close the entrance gates, and no more than 20,000 people were able to enter. It was the largest American religious rally at the time. In his speech, Rev. Moon gave a special message to the Americans to inform them that during these past three years, he received a special mission God, which led him toward a difficult path. However, he overcame all obstacles, and is able to stand here today to inform them of God’s new Will for America. He also explained in detail the direction of Christianity.

After the three major events held at the Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium and Washington Monument, nationwide events commemorating the America’s Bicentennial concluded successfully, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han proclaimed, “The next rally will be held in Moscow.” We have to go through the Kremlin Palace in Moscow, and see that we can lay the foundation for the liberation of God and mankind.

The Moscow conference was held from April 10 to 13, 1990, with more than 600 people including journalists, politicians and scholars, as well as 41 former heads of state. In particular, the 11th World Media Conference, co-hosted by RIA Novosti, addressed the theme of “International influence of Glasnost and Perestroika” at the time of the Soviet Union, and held the World Peace Summit, as well as the annual meeting of Association for the Unity of Latin America (AULA).

In the Kremlin Palace on April 11, historical talks were held between Rev. Moon, Dr. Han and Mikhail Gorbachev. The Communist bourgeoisie Izvestiya and Pravda introduced the talks with Gorbachev on the front page of the newspaper. Also, on television, a special report on a one-hour talk was organized on April 20, and many media were also introduced during this meeting.

The Moscow event has brought about an unexpected wave. A representative case is that during the meeting with Gorbachev, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han had warned the Soviet Union to accept God, and urged for the demolition of the Lenin statue of Kremlin Square, thus catalyzing the change of the Soviet Union. Rev. Moon and Dr. Han explained the situation at the time.

“I went to Moscow and made a clear declaration. It is only through religious ways. I made a clear declaration in Moscow, which is the center of the Communist world. So the Communist leaders were surprised. Gorbachev was no exception. During the last banquet, I said, ‘The Soviet Union must know God. Discovering the new path is a new way for the Soviet Union to resurrect. You have to go back. Otherwise, there is no way! You will suffer!’ I said this very strongly. I also said, ‘You have to go back to where you were 70 years ago. You must return to the origin. How much the Russian empire has flourished!’ This is how I declared my message to them. I went against the center of Communism.” (March 9, 1991).

"I met Gorbachev and told him to remove the statues of Marx and Lenin. If you do not get rid of them, even if you are a leader, who will be recorded in world history in the future, you cannot make a contribution to fill all the wounds infringed by the Communist name. It will be a condition to be able to make a contribution, so break down the statues. I am the one who brought all the statues down of Marx, Lenin and Stalin in Moscow.” (October 15, 2004)

The Moscow event that turned the Soviet Union upside down

At the request of Rev. Moon and Dr. Han, the University students of the Soviet Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States, who were trapped behind the Iron Curtain, as well as the personnel of various leaders, the number traveling between America and overseas has increased. From July 1, 1990 to August 19, 380 Soviet Union University students attended the International Leadership Seminar (ILS) held at the Unification Theological Seminary in America.

From January to February of 1991, a seminar was held with 700 attendees from three places in Hungary. In July and August of the same year, 2,000 students from four areas of the Baltic Sea region attended around 24 seminars hosted by CARP.

From January 26 to February 9, 1992, 27 seminars were held for 3,160 students at 18 locations around the Crimean Peninsula of Ukraine. From March 20 to April 10, 1992, a seminar on Unification Principles was held for high school teachers and students from the Commonwealth of Independent States. This seminar was attended by 7,229 people from 23 areas up to 40 times, replacing the record of the most attending practitioners during the Cold War. In the summer of the same year, 18,042 people attended 129 seminars held at 26 locations in five regions of the Commonwealth of Independent States over eight weeks.

After Rev. Moon and Dr. Han arrived in the United States, the conference ended with the Washington, D.C. meeting, followed by the Moscow meeting. The most important matter that Rev. Moon and Dr. Han have conveyed through these conferences was the defeat of Communism, which denies God.

In fact, Rev. Moon urged Dr. Morton Kaplan, a prominent political scientist at the University of Chicago, to declare the “The Fall of the Soviet Empire” at the Second International Conference of the Professors World Peace Academy (PWPA) in Geneva, Switzerland, held from August 13 to 17, 1985. Rev. Moon predicted the collapse of Communism at the time, and said that he had taken its toll through the Moscow meeting.

In June, 1972, President Richard Nixon's re-election team was discovered trying to install a wiretapping device at the Democratic National Committee Headquarters in Washington's Watergate Building. As a result, Nixon suffered great difficulty until August, 1974, when he resigned his presidency.

On November 30, 1973, during a 21-city public speaking tour in the United States, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han saw that Nixon’s crisis was America’s crisis, and announced to the New York Times and the Washington Post his message to, “Forgive, Love and Unite,” as expressed in the “Watergate Declaration.”

This incident was not a matter of ending the responsibility on the president, but warned that Communism could gain from the economic crisis of the United States, as well as the influence gap caused by lack of world leadership. Rev. Moon said he supported the presidency, not the support of Nixon individually, but rather, the decision of the nation's destiny.

President Nixon sent a letter of appreciation to him, and Rev. Moon and Dr. Han offered a 40-day relay fasting prayer on December 1, 1973 at the Unification Church, and suggested that all Christians participate. On December 14, 1,200 people participated in the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and held the “Demonstration of Peace.”

On February 1, 1974, President Nixon invited Rev. Moon to the White House and met for an hour. Rev. Moon has prayed for the president at this place. From July 22 to 24, when President Nixon's crisis reached its peak, about 600 people at the Capitol staircase in Washington staged a three-day fast. The Watergate support movement was a purely religious activity that excluded political colors. The beginning started with Rev. Moon and Dr. Han; however, it is the United States that should bear the fruit. But Nixon's resignation had left America with no opportunity to leap toward, becoming a world-leading country, and it has, instead, turned into a difficult state, both domestically and internationally.

Watergate Declaration and invitational speech to Congress

Rev. Moon and Dr. Han became an interest to Senators and Congressmen after successful public events and speaking tours. On October 8, 1974, Rev. Moon and Dr. Han were invited to the Dirksen Senate Office Building (the meeting room of the Capitol 1202), and the members listened to the main speech titled, “The Providence of God in the United States.” Rev. Moon emphasized the importance of the US’ leading role in world security, as well as the importance of the security of Korea.

The meeting was attended by 185 members of the Senate and House of Representatives. Invitation letters were sent by 13 lawmakers, including Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations John Sparkman (Alabama), and official letters were sent to all members of the House of Representatives to complete it.

On December 18, 1975, the US Congress again invited Rev. Moon and Dr. Han to give a speech at the Kennedy Caucus Room, Russell Senate Office Building. The lecture was attended by 200 members of the Senate, House of Representatives and special assistants, including Congressman Ichord from Missouri.

Rev. Moon delivered a speech on the theme of “God’s Plan Centered on the United States.” He urged for the United States and Christianity to reunite centering on God for the salvation of the world's humanity, and also called for a spiritual innovation movement for world peace.

“The 34-year of the American activities of Rev. Moon and Dr. Han in the United States is not only a mass rally, but also a period of realizing world peace in various fields and creating a rallying point for all religions; a model of the ideal world community," said an official of the Family Federation, and continued, “This is a special period where Rev. Moon and Dr. Han have created a new mission model in the expansive frame of world peace and human salvation, which has attracted interest.”

On the other hand, the Family Federation will hold the 5th Anniversary of the Seonghwa of Rev. Sun Myung Moon at the Cheongshim World Peace Center in Gyeonggi Province on September 7, and the International Marriage Blessing Ceremony. More than 30,000 people from 194 countries are expected to attend the event, which will be broadcasted live via Internet.

The accomplishments of Dr. Hak Ja Han after the Seonghwa of Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Dr. Hak Ja Han has been working hard to pass on the traditions and accomplishments by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, who had ascended five years ago. First of all, Dr. Han enacted the Three Great Scriptures of Cheon Il Guk, and the establishment of the Cheon Il Guk Constitution. Moreover, she enacted the Cheon Jeong Won, Cheon Eui Won, Cheon Beob Won, Cheon Jae Won, Cheon Gong Won. In addition, she appointed thirteen members of the Supreme Council, and laid a foundation for the continuous development of the denomination.

Through the establishment of the HyoJeong World Peace Foundation and the establishment of the SunHak Peace Prize, she has devoted efforts toward realizing world peace and promoting future leaders. In addition, the International Association for Parliamentarians for Peace has been formed in every region of the world to actively promote the settlement of global peace.

Dr. Han has appointed 13 special strategic nations, and has been supporting the mission activities. In addition, she actively supports and oversees the foundation of the 'HJ Cheonwon' complex, which was built in Seorak-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, as well as the establishment of the HJ World Peace Foundation, Hyojung Center of Culture, Cheon Il Guk Academy of Arts & Sciences, Unification Science Academy, Hyo-Jeong Cheon Il Guk Seonghwa Center, and plans to re-examine the lifetime and achievements of Rev. Moon and Dr. Han.

Dr. Han has successfully held a large number of conventions attended by more than 10,000 people this year in Korea, Japan, Thailand and the United States. On April 30, at the Kintex, located in Ilsan, an event called “Hopeful March Forward of Korea Rally” was held to find ways to overcome the internal and external crises, as well as to promote public awareness in preparation for the unification era. A crowd of about 20,000 people gathered at the event.

On May 14, they held an event called, the “2017 Hyo-Jeong Culture Festival in Tokyo” to emphasize the value of family by establishing “Hyo (filial)” culture and establish friendly relations between Korea and Japan. The event was held at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, attracting 12,000 people.

On June 12 and 13, the “Inauguration of the Network for Youth and Students for Peace in Asia and the Pacific” was held. The event was held successfully with 17,000 people from 35 countries attending the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) headquarters, and the second largest convention center in Asia, at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. A Family Federation official said, “Dr. Han has declared a second leap by 2020, which is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Rev. Moon, and has emphasized the mantra, ‘Advance without Ceasing.’ Under the motto for 'Vision 2020,' the project will be more resilient,” he explained.
