Sato Midori (64), the President of the 'Japanese Association
Hoping for the Unification of North and South Korea' said that "for Korea
and Japan to become one the Japanese Government should apologize for its
past" and on the 27th was awarded the Ministry of Veterans' commemorative appreciation plaque, unprecedented for a foreigner. The Korean Government showed their appreciation to President Sato for regularly hosting the 'mass rally to raise awareness for the patriotic martyrs and a joint memorial service for Korea and Japan.' President Sato spoke upon receiving the award about how "Reverend Sun Myung Moon spoke about how Korea and Japan must become one, then North and South Korea become one and become the center of the world' and spoke about in order for Korea and Japan to become one Japan should first apologize for its past."
