This Past February, the Family Federation for World Peace Hosted a Mass Wedding, Christopher R. Hill, Unification.

The Family Federation for World Peace hosted the Cosmic Blessing Ceremony by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind (International Mass Marriage Blessing Ceremony) on February 12^th, 10:00 AM, at the Cheong Shim Peace World Center in Gyeonggi, Gapyeong, Korea.

On this day, in joint commemoration of the First Anniversary of the Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day, 2500 couples pledged to establish their new God-centered families at the Mass Marriage Blessing Ceremony. Approximately 20,000 couples around the world were married on this day, some attending via satellite.

Participants from 194 countries from around the world took part in the wedding ceremony through live internet broadcast.

Previously, on the 9^th at 2:00 PM at the Gapyeong Cheon Jung Goong Museum, the Wonmo Pyeongae Foundation presided over the 2^nd Scholarship Certificate Presentation Ceremony and Service Work Award Ceremony.

On this day, the Wonmo Pyeongae Foundation presented 10 billion won in scholarships to 1,213 students (439 Korean and 774 international students) of the World Dream Tree. They also awarded five outstanding individuals and organizations with service work awards.

On the 10^th, the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) hosted 250 representatives from 30 countries at the ILC International Conference held at the Seoul Jamshil Lotte World Hotel, around 10:00 AM, to discuss peace in Northeast Asia. Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher R. Hill delivered the keynote address.

On the 11^th, the “2014 Convention for the Reunification of Korea” was held at the Baekbeomgimgu Memorial Convention Hall at 2:00 PM. Kil Jae Ryu, Minister of Korean Unification, gave the keynote address.

20,000 Couples Attend the Cosmic Blessing Ceremony by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind

On the 5^th, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (Korean President Kyeong-Seuk Ryu, hereafter referred to as the Family Federation) announced that it would hold the “Commemorative Ceremony for the First Anniversary of Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day and the 2014 Cosmic Blessing Ceremony by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind” on the 12^th (January 13^th by the lunar calendar) at 10:00 AM at the Gyeonggi-do, Gapyeong Cheon Shim Peace World Center, and that 20,000 people would be in attendance.

Last year, on January 13^th by the Lunar Calendar, the Family Federation proclaimed Foundation Day as the starting point to world peace. This year, after the Commemorative Ceremony for the First Anniversary of Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day, 20,000 couples, including couples from around the world joining through satellite broadcast, were married at the Cosmic Blessing Ceremony by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind (International Mass Marriage Blessing Ceremony).

At the marriage venue, 2,500 couples from about 50 different countries took their first grand steps toward creating true families that would become the seeds of peace. The Commemorative Ceremony for the First Year of Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day and the 2014 International Mass Marriage Blessing Ceremony was broadcast over the Internet to 194 countries worldwide.
