[Korean Economics] Ilhwa Donates 120 Million Won in Medical Supplies and Medicine for International Aid. On the 16th, Ilhwa revealed that they would be donating 120 million won in medicine and medical supplies to the “2014 True Love Peace Volunteers Philippine International Aid Project.” On the 15th, Ilhwa held a ceremony in its headquarters’ auditorium together with the Korea Multicultural Peace Federation and the Multicultural General Welfare Center to donate nutritional supplements, vitamins, pain medications and other general and specialty medical supplies for international aid. The donation ceremony was attended by Ilhwa President Sung-Kyun Lee, Ilhwa Vice President Jong-Kwan Kim, Pharmaceutical Headquarters Director Yong-Duk Park, Korea Multicultural Peace Federation President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu, Multicultural General Welfare Center Chairman Man-Woong Jo, International Family Federation President Etsuko Ueda, Family Federation Director of Planning Seong-Il Jo and many other distinguished guests. “I pray that Ilhwa’s best medicines will give hope and strength to those who are suffering in the Philippines,” said Ilhwa President Sung-Kyun Lee.
The True Love Peace Corps will be travelling to the Philippines to provide international aid from August 1st to the 6th. They will visit Manila, Quezon, Caloocan and other cities, where they will provide medical supplies and Korean language education to at-risk groups. They will also carry out service projects to rebuild and remodel homes....
