The International Leadership Conference was Held to Foster Peace and Unification of the Korean Peninsula

The International Leadership Conference was attended by 450 individuals, including current National Assembly members, reporters and religious figures from 41 different nations, in the name of world peace and unification of the Korean peninsula.

The severity of North Korea’s nuclear experiments and missile launches, and the subsequent crisis that faces the Korean peninsula, in addition to the necessity of international cooperation in bringing about peace was discussed today at the National Assembly Hall.

International Leadership Conference: “International Parliamentarian’s Peace Association”

The International Leadership Conference was held at the National Assembly Hall with approximately 150 current National Assembly members from 40 nations and 300 religious leaders in attendance.

The participants decided to establish the International Parliamentarian’s Peace Association, to help establish everlasting peace on the Korean peninsula, and resolve conflicts all over the world, including the terrorist acts born by Islamic extremism.

In accordance with the Conference, the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification held various events at the Cheong Shim Peace World Center in commemoration of the third anniversary of Foundation Day from the 13th to the 20th, which included the presentation of scholarships totaling 10 billion won and a prayer vigil for world peace..... [See the original story]

150 Global National Assembly Members at the International Leadership Conference: “Cooperation for Peace”

  (Seoul=Yonhap News) Together with the Saenuri Party’s member of the Supreme Council Eul-Dong Kim, the Promotion Committee for the Inauguration of the International Parliamentarian’s Peace Association held the International Leadership Conference (ILC) for “World Peace and Unification of the Korean Peninsula” on the morning of the 15th at the Yeouido National Hall.

(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Sang-Hyun Park= Together with the Saenuri Party’s member of the Supreme Council Eul-Dong Kim, the Promotion Committee for the Inauguration of the International Parliamentarian’s Peace Association held the International Leadership Conference (ILC) for “World Peace and Unification of the Korean Peninsula” on the morning of the 15th at the Yeouido National Hall.

A resolution to support the inauguration of the International Parliamentarian’s Peace Association for world peace and the unification of the Korean peninsula was adopted at the Conference, which was attended by 150 National Assembly Members from 40 nations.

The resolution read, “In order to establish peace on the Korean Peninsula, the world must overcome ideological, racial, national and religious differences, and seek a path of coexistence and mutual prosperity.”

Chairman of the National Assembly Ui-Hwa Jeong expressed, “Many National Assembly members attended the conference, and I am looking forward to seeing where their inspirations will lead. Please pay attention to the peace and security of the Korean peninsula.”

Supreme Council Member Eul-Dong Kim emphasized the importance of the joint measures of the International Leadership Conference to bring peace to the Korean peninsula, and stressed that “establishing a fifth UN Secretariat office on the Korean peninsula is crucial to bringing about everlasting peace.”

Following the conference, a “prayer vigil for peace and unification of the Korean peninsula” was held at Paju Imjingak in Gyeonggi-do.....[See the original story]
