[Newsis] The Age of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon is in Full Swing; FFWPU and Downpour
On that day, lightning and rainstorms raged at Yankee
Stadium. In the stands, 50,000 Americans sang “You Are My Sunshine,” and the
rainy wind stopped and the sun shone directly on the stadium like a spotlight.
The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification is
reminded of this story from 40 years ago.
The “God Bless America Festival” was held at 10 AM on the
5th (local time) at Belvedere in Tarrytown, New York, in
commemoration of Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s Yankee Stadium
Rally in June, 1976. 3,000 of the attendants were reminded of the miracle 40
years earlier. Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, who succeeded her husband, who ascended in
2012, resolved to bring about a successful “Four Years of Hope” course by 2020.
Belvedere is a 90,000-acre property that sits near the
Hudson River, and is 40 minutes away from New York City. Meaning “beautiful
landscape” in Italian, Belvedere is a picturesque Holy Ground atop a green
meadow. Belvedere was purchased in 1972, and served as Rev. Sun Myung Moon and
Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s former home and foothold of FFWPU’s American missionary
movement.
People of all races and colors gathered from early in the morning. These families would have inspired Rev.
Moon, who had exclaimed, “In God’s eyes, there is no Black, White or Yellow,”
during the Yankee Stadium Rally. He had stated, “America is God’s hope and
will,” as Americans who had been drifting in a world of Communism and youth and
family issues turned to him for salvation. Rev. Moon came as a doctor and a
firefighter.
Washington Times Foundation Chairman Thomas P
McDevitt, who had volunteered to help with the Yankee Stadium Rally,
emphasized, “Rev. Moon’s teachings are something that American’s must listen to
and practice, which Trump, Sanders and Hillary (Clinton) have been unable to
do. The content itself is very deep, so the message is still very relevant.” He
also stressed Rev. and Mrs. Moon’s “messianic leadership.”
In 1960, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, wife of Rev. Moon,
explained, “America is the elder-son nation to the 200 other nations of the
world. America’s mission is to guide all of its brothers and sisters to unite
as one, and work to live well as one family. America cannot seek to live on its
own and Americans must become the people they are meant to be. I hope that
America can become a nation that mankind can be proud of.”
Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon engaged with the audience. The
attendants offered Dr. Moon a Korean-style bow and applauded and cheered about
20 times during her speech. Following her speech, they shouted three cheers of
“Eok Mansei” in Korean.
They then sang “Country Roads” and the national anthem.
It was the freedom of victors. The values of FFWPU seemed to pass from Rev.
Moon in heaven to Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon on earth during this time.
It rained on this day, but it did not rain during Dr.
Moon’s speech. Some may say that this is an example of a wife following in her
husband’s footsteps..... [See the original story]

FFWPU U.S.A. Belvedere Training Center “40 Year
Anniversary of New York Rally”
Family Federation for World Peace and Unification
(FFWPU)’s Belvedere Training Center is a 40-minute drive along the Hudson River
from Manhattan, New York. The training center sits near the Hudson River, which
is a lifeline for the people of New York. Thousands of people began to gather
at Belvedere on the morning of the 5th (local time). Laughter flowed
amidst people of different skin colors and languages, who congregated like old
classmates. The name of the event was the “God Bless America Festival.” It
commemorated the 200th anniversary of America’s independence and the
40th anniversary of the Yankee Stadium Rally held on June 1, 1976.
FFWPU is also planning to hold an event in September to commemorate the 40th
anniversary of the Washington Monument Rally. The Washington Monument Rally in
1976, which gathered 300,000 people, is recorded as the largest religious
rally.
On this day, 3,000 people, including FFWPU founder Dr.
Hak Ja Han Moon, American politicians and FFWPU members gathered at the Belvedere
training center. People from New Jersey, Washington D.C., eastern Canada, etc.
traveled early in the morning to arrive at Belvedere. Members from California
and Texas flew in the day before and spent a night in New York prior to the
event.
Students’ laughter filled the entire grass lawn. Tents
with various food vendors were set up throughout the area. The audience members
spoke a wide range of languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, Spanish,
French, etc. It would be comparable to refer to the event as a “mini UN.”
Family Federation
for World Peace and Unification founder Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon delivers the main
address at the 40th anniversary celebration of the New York Yankee
Stadium Rally at the Belvedere training center.
Frank Maketa (62) traveled from Maryland and picked up
his married daughter in New Jersey before arriving at the event location. “40
years ago, I was witnessed to by FFWPU. I was then married to a Korean woman.”
His daughter, Nancy Jubb, smiled as she said, “As someone who was born to an
American father and Korean mother and married a British man, I am a true global
citizen.” In a short time, the parking lot was full of vehicles.
Hymns continuously flowed into the event site. Some
people danced to the music, while others clapped and sang along. It felt like
the recording studio of the famous television program, “American Idol.” Even
the reporters took in the beautiful scenery.
People from all
over America gathered at the Family Federation for World Peace’s 40th
anniversary celebration of the New York Yankee Stadium Rally at the Belvedere
training center on the 5th (local time).
According to the event program, the official event would
not last more than two hours. The entire audience grew silent as soon as the
event, which was simultaneously interpreted into Korean and English, began. Dr.
Michael Balcomb, FFWPU USA President, began the event as the emcee. Archbishop
George Stallings offered a representative prayer, followed by a video of the
1976 Yankee Stadium Rally and a welcoming address by FFWPU North American
Continental Director Ki-Hoon Kim. Washington Times Chairman Tom McDevitt,
Former University of Bridgeport President Dr. Tadaaki Shimmyo and Virginia
State South Country Middle School teacher Patsy Casino gave testimonies, after
which Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon took the stage.
Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon stated, “During the Second World War,
this Puritan nation of America stood in a position of embracing the entire
world. However, a secular culture became prevalent. Through the Yankee Stadium
Rally, we reawakened fallen America. Those of you who worked together with us
on the frontline at that time have now gathered here once again to create a
culture of living in peace and happiness. We must make sure that America
fulfills its proper role as the center of the 200 nations.”
Dr. Moon urged, “America is now pursuing its own
interests, and has a trend of disregarding the rest of the word. God and
America are calling us once again. We must create a new start for America with
the spirit of true love.” She repeatedly emphasized the role of FFWPU’s Yankee
Stadium Rally in reawakening America to the threat of Communism in the midst of
its fading Christian spirit and widespread family breakdown. The audience
responded with thunderous applause.
Dr. Ki-Hoon Kim, who worked to prepare the event, shared,
“40 years ago in New York, and at the Washington Rally, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and
Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon stated that ‘America is God’s hope.’ Just like when Rev.
Moon said that he came to America as a doctor and firefighter, America was
cured through our efforts. We are gathered here today to remind ourselves of
the resolution we made 40 years ago, and to direct that toward the future.”
Former U.S. Congressman Dan Burton reflected, “Rev. Sun
Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s message was an important lesson for
American society. President Ronald Reagan went to Berlin, Germany and said,
“Communism must be stopped” because that was what he had previously discussed
with Rev. Moon.
Tongil Group PR Department Director Ho-Yeol An stated, “In the same
way that the FFWPU gathering in New York and Washington Rally 40 years ago
echoed throughout American society, so too will today’s anniversary rally echo
amongst the people in attendance.”.... [See the original story]
