Sun Jin Moon, FFWPU International President, said in her speech, “Ever since my father, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, passed away, my mother, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, has been working tirelessly to fulfill his dreams. The result of that work is coming to an honorable reality.” She then emphasized the establishment of a peaceful world through love, saying, “The seeds we have been planting for decades are now beginning to bear fruit. As long as we carry out true love and gather as one family under the name of God, the legacy of our founder, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, will live on forever.”

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon said in her speech, “We have divided the countries of the world into 13 continental regions, grouped by language zones; and with these regions as the center, we are now moving beyond tribal Messiah work and past national boundaries into the world. On Foundation Day this past February, we proposed the establishment of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, and have already established its branches in Nepal in July and Burkina Faso, Africa, in August. The Peace Road 2016 events were joined by 140 countries. In December, the final establishment conference of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace will be held in Washington, D.C. Even though we speak different languages and live in different environments, we can become one. Commemorating the 4^th anniversary of the Universal Seonghwa of founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon, let us resolve to follow our grand aspiration to fulfill God’s dream of merging mankind into one family at all costs.”

The second part of the ceremony was comprised of cultural events contests. There were diverse cultural performances offered by members from different continental regions, as well as a Bibimbap sharing event signifying harmony and unification under the slogan “Bap (meal) is love,” where a huge vat of bibimbap was mixed and eaten by everyone attending.

The third part of the program was a Hyojung (filial piety and love) Peace Festival, where special performances by the Little Angels and prominent professional singers, Insooni and Jo Hang-Jo, delighted the audience.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon, born in Jeongju, North Pyeongan Province on the 6^th day of the 1^st lunar month, 1920, established the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity (now the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification), and raised it up into a global denomination with ongoing mission work in 194 nations worldwide.

He dedicated his entire life toward world peace, interreligious harmony and human salvation, until his Seonghwa on September 3, 2012 (the 17^th day of the 7^th lunar month). The Seonghwa solemnities lasted for 13 days, with 250,000 visiting the mortuary in Korea to offer their respects.

For the 4^th anniversary of founder Sun Myung Moon’s Seonghwa, FFWPU held various events, including the “DMZ Peace Road: Sharing Hope for the Unification of Korean Peninsula,” joined by 1,200 students and young people from 63 countries around the world, “The International College Students’ Symposium on the Unification of Korean Peninsula and Enhancement of World Peace,” a celebration the completion of the Korea Peace Road 2016 tour, and a “Seminar on Religion’s Roles in the Peaceful Unification of the Korean Peninsula,” the “2016 Religious Peace Wongu Peace-cup Soccer Tournament,” The Foundation Conference of the Cheon Il Guk Academy of Arts and Sciences and a 2016 Multicultural Peace Festival.....
