[Newsis] Family Federation, Joint Service for Sharing Love Held in the Capital Area… 12,000 Believers Gather
The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification held the “2016 4th Anniversary of the Heavenly Ascension Joint Service for Sharing Love in the Capital Area” event at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park in Bangie, Seoul, on the 16th.
At the Joint Service on this day, 12,000 Family Federation members from Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, and capital areas, Peace Ambassadors and local residents gathered, catalyzing the event.
At 10:30 AM, the Joint Service began with the officiating of Family Federation Headquarters Pastor Jeong-Ho Park, and proceeded in the order of the opening declaration, the Cheon Il Guk anthem, Family Pledge and reporting prayer by western Seoul Pastor Jong-Hyuk Ihm, followed by a viewing of “The Flower of Hope that Blossomed in Heart and Culture,” a commemorative video.
Then the Korean President of the Family Federation, Kyeung-Seuk Ryu, delivered a speech titled, “Let the Light of Filial Piety become the Hope of the World.”
President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu said, “This 4th anniversary of the heavenly ascension event is a ‘Seonghwa Festival,’ and marked the beginning of heart culture that ushered in the new beginning of the culture of Seonghwa,” and ruminated over the meaning of the 4th anniversary of the heavenly ascension by adding, “Through the 4th anniversary of the heavenly ascension, the viewpoints towards the Family Federation have changed, making summit-level leaders of the world and domestic and foreign medias shed light to the ideals and achievements of Reverend Sun Myung Moon, as well as the activities of the Family Federation meant to transform it into a religion of the people, were handled.”
He then said, “Today, the Family Federation has established the five core policies for the victory of the ‘Vision 2020:’ the diffusion of the new tribal messiah, the constant training of promising, talented individuals, the realization of a happy community of families, religions and cultures based on everyday practice and the realization of peace on the Korean peninsula, moving ahead with detailed policies and strategies specific to the situations of each area around the country,” and further emphasized, “With the coming of this 4th anniversary of the heavenly ascension, I truly hope that all of you can become the hope of the world with the light of filial piety, thus bearing the fruit of heart and culture.”
Through her welcoming message, the Chief Secretary, Won-Ju Jeong, testified to the deep love that Reverend Sun Myung Moon had shown to humankind and all living things throughout his whole life, and expressed how moved she was by saying, “I am sure the presence of Reverend Sun Myung Moon is here to today at the service, warmly gazing, smiling and embracing the members.”
He then went on to deliver a message by Dr. Hak Ja Han saying, “The Korean church is the ‘eldest son’s house of providence.’ Please help realize ‘Vision 2020’ as a religion of the people, according to the status and reputation of the eldest son’s house,” and further emphasized, “I hope we may become one until there is victory and honor, and that we can do our best in fulfilling our filial piety and expressing our affections. May the great love and blessings of God be with you all the time.”
The Family Federation held two joint services, one in the Honam area at the Kim Dae-Jung Center in Gwangju, on the 2nd, and another in the Gangwon area at the Baekryung Art Center in Gangwondae, Chuncheon, on the 9th. Following the joint service for the capital area on this day, there is to be a Youngnam area service at Bexco, Busan, on the 23rd, and a Chungnam area service at the Sun Moon University gymnasium in Asan, on the 6th of November.

Fundraising Campaigns Across the Country to Support Multicultural Families, 6,000 Believers from the Capital Area Participate The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (Korean President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu) is running fundraising campaigns across the nation in support of multicultural families. The fundraising activities are facing a situation where already over 30,000 multicultural families exist in Korea, and the role of religion is becoming even more prevalent. The Family Federation is currently carrying out rice-of-love deliveries, bazaars and volunteer activities based from parishes and churches nationwide. As part of the fundraising events, the Family Federation held two “2016 4th Anniversary of the Heavenly Ascension Joint Service for Sharing Love” events in the morning and afternoon at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park in Jamsil, Seoul, on the 16th. Celebrating the 4th anniversary of the heavenly ascension of Reverend Sun Myung Moon, the event took place with the topic, “For a World of Becoming One with a Culture of Heart and Filial Piety,” and was attended by 12,000 believers from major cities such as Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon.  The “2016 4th Anniversary of the Heavenly Ascension Joint Service for Sharing Love” event that is part of the fundraising campaign for the support of multicultural families by the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification is taking place at the Olympic Park in Jamshil, Seoul, on the 16th. Chief Jeong said, “I am sure the presence of Reverend Sun Myung Moon is real today in the service, warmly gazing, smiling upon and embracing the believers,” and added, “I am truly thankful to Reverend Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han.”
Chief Secretary Jeong went on to deliver the message of Dr. Hak Ja Han by saying, “The Korean church is the ‘eldest son’s house of providence.’ Please help to gain victory for ‘Vision 2020, and for the establishment of a religion of the people in all manner and reputation, regarding of the eldest son’s house,” and added, “May the great love and blessings of God be with you all the time.”
The joint choirs formed from selected members of each church sang the “Song of Filial Piety” and the “Song of Unity.”
Through his lecture, the Korean President of the Family Federation, Kyeung-Seuk Ryu said, “The 4th anniversary of the heavenly ascension event in August was a ‘Seonghwa Festival,’ and was the beginning of a culture of heart that introduced the new beginning of the culture of Seounghwa,” and revealed, “Through the 4th anniversary of the heavenly ascension, the viewpoints towards the Family Federation have changed, making summit-level leaders of the world, as well as domestic and foreign media, shed new light on the ideals and achievements of Reverend Sun Myung Moon.”
