FFWPU Korea Headquarters Holds its 63rd Founding Anniversary
Family Federation for World Peace and Unification held its “63rd Founding Anniversary” at its headquarters in Cheon Bok Gung Church, located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, at 10 a.m. on May 26.
Family Federation for World Peace and Unification reached its 63rd year since its founding as an association in Korea.
Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU, Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu), held its “63rd Founding Anniversary” at its headquarters in Cheon Bok Gung Church, located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, at 10 a.m. on May 26.
At this anniversary event, over 800 people were in attendance, including most notably FFWPU Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu and Tongil Group Chief Director Yun-Gi Choi, along with public officials from across the country in ministry and senior pastor representatives. The agenda for this anniversary event included opening remarks, singing the Cheon Il Guk National Anthem, reciting the Family Pledge, a representative prayer and three cheers of Eog Mansei.
As part of his commemorative address, President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu stated, “The Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity was founded on May 1, 1954, as God’s providential organization tasked with completing the providential work of restoration in His place. The founding of HSA-UWC represents significant progress in providential history, for the purpose of the salvation of all humankind and the realization of God’s purpose of creation.”
President Ryu also emphasized, “The unique solution to overcoming Korea’s and the world’s challenging problems, and to finding solutions to the mountain of tasks at hand, lie in FFWPU’s vision centering on God and True Parents. Let us, as a religion of True Parents that shares the sorrows and joys of the world, open an era of peace and unification.”
FFWPU Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu is giving the commemorative address at the “63rd Founding Anniversary” of FFWPU, held at its headquarters church located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on May 26.
For this FFWPU’s 63rd Founding Anniversary, thirty leading Korean political figures, including the following, sent congratulatory messages: Ju-Seon Park (National Assembly Deputy Speaker) and National Assembly member Byeong-Wan Jang (both from the People’s Party); National Assembly members of the Liberty Korea Party Gyeong-Hwan Choi, Sang-Su Ahn, Il-Pyo Hong, Sang-Hyeon Yun, Yu-Seob Jeong, Seok-Gi Kim, Seok-Ho Gang, and Il-Jong Seong; Busan Metropolitan City Mayor Byeong-Su Seo; Busan Metropolitan Council Chairman Jong-Hyeon Baek; Incheon Metropolitan City Mayor Jeong-Bok Yu; Incheon Metropolitan Council Chairman Won-Hyeong Zhuge; Yongsan-gu Office Director Jang-Hyeon Seong; Jongno-gu Office Director Yeong-Jong Kim; Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education Superintendent Seok-Jung Kim.
Meanwhile, with its founding at the Sedaemunjib, then located in Bukhak-dong, Seongdong-gu (present Shindang-dong, Jung-gu), Seoul, on May 1, 1954, FFWPU grew to the extent of having established over 230 branches throughout the nation within the past 63 years. In addition, with missionaries currently dispatched to 194 nations beginning with Japan in 1958 and the United States in 1959, FFWPU is actively continuing its activities abroad.....
