The Tongil Group Promotional Event for global chairmen was held on February 27th (Wed) from 9 am at the Ilhwa Chuncheong Factory, and the Yongpyong Resort where 220 people attended.

After a description about the Tongil Group in general, public relations for the affiliates and a marketing description for building an autonomous foundation the Burundi Chairman Edwin plekhanov provided 1596 articles of clothing, the Philipinnes Chairman Julius malicdem provided 8 laptop computers, and theNorth East Continental Vice-Chairman Jack Marion provided Ilhwa products.

At the 3rd Overseas Missionary Goods Support, the Tongil Group provided 60 laptops, 1000 articles of used clothing, and 2200 articles of new clothing.

The First Lady of Mali who attended In the place of the President of Mali, requested a moment of silence for President Sun Myung Moon who held his Seonghwa (聖和) last year” and received a fair response from the participants. Yun Jeong-ro the President of the UPF also presented activities planned for this year and mentioned about how “1 year annivesary of President Moon's death would be carried out" winning the applause of the audience.

The seminar held under the theme of 'peace and security in East Asia' was the icing on the cake for the conference. The former Minister of Unification Lim Dong-won came out saying “we should never tolerat nuclear experiments by the North” and added “I hope that North South relations can improve under the Pak Geun-hye administration and peace can come to the Korean Peninsula."

Among the heads of state that attended, 7 individuals including Guinea Bissau President Nhamadjo, Bosne Hercegovine President Živko Budimir, Sri Lanka Prime Minister Disanayaka Jayaratne, Zimbabwe Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi, Afgahanistan Vice-President Mohammed Karim Khalili, and Congo President of the National Assembly Justin Koumba received honorary doctorates from Sun Moon University (President Hwang Seong-jo).     Right after the awards ceremony Tongil Group Chairman Kook Jin Mon held a luncheon with the various heads of state and about 300 leaders to introduce the Tongil Group.

Also on the 23rd, the Women's Federation for World Peace (World Chairwoman Nan Yeong Moon) held the 2nd Global Women's Network General Assembly at the Walker Hill Hotel. The participants congratulated the birth of a Korean President and gathered opinions of "building male leadership that has been prominent in history and distinct motherly leadership."
