Zivko Budimir, president of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Morgan Tsvangirai, the prime minister of Zimbabwe, and Debbie Remengesau, the first lady of the Republic of Palau were among the 300 foreign VIPs and heads of state who participated in a corporate briefing of the Tongil Group in the Grand Hall of the Seoul Gwangjang-dong Walkerhill Hotel. This briefing, which was held at noon on February 24, 2013, introduced Tongil Group affiliates such as Yong Pyong Resort, Ilhwa, TIC and Shinjeong Development
In his introductory address, Mr. Moon Kook-jin, chairman of Tongil Group, told the VIPs that, “national security and the economy must be solid in order to build a strong nation” and that, “Tongil Group is small but it is made up of strong companies.” Hashim Thaçi, the prime minister of Kosovo, showed great interest in the beverage and pharmaceutical businesses in a separate meeting with Mr. Lee Seong-gyun, the company president of Ilhwa.
After the noon briefing, the VIPs went to Neung-dong to view a special congratulatory performance by the Little Angels at the Universal Arts Center. The foreign heads of state and other VIPs were in Korea to participate in World Summit 2013 which was organized by the Universal Peace Federation.
