Under the basic principle of employee participation and transparent financial disclosure, 1, 415 employees from the Tongil Group have joined and collected 35 million won in donations since December, 2013.

Participants voted on six ideas announced over a month-long campaign through Facebook, offline affiliate publications and the Tongil Group webzine. All voting concluded on January 26, 2014.

Throughout this campaign, 3,130 people participated and collected a total of 7,364 votes. Plural voting was permitted. Voting details reveal the following breakdown; Facebook, 151: affiliates’ employees, 401: online voting, 2,578.

Three ideas, which gained more than 1,000 votes, were selected as a sponsored project for this campaign: The 2^nd Emergency Medical Support for Multi-Cultural Families, Support for Teenage Bread-Winners and the Support for Single Elderly and Premature Babies.

In addition, each affiliate pledged 40 million won for the support of the “Emergency Medical Fee for Multi-Cultural Families” campaign toward the end of last year.

A grand total of 75 million won, combining 35 million won from the campaign and 40 million won from affiliated companies, will be given to the Multi-Cultural General Welfare Center. The Center will distribute the donation to three chosen projects accordingly.

 The presentation ceremony will be held on the first floor of the Multi-Cultural General Welfare Center, Cheong pa dong, Yongsan district, on Friday, February 7, 2014.
