On October 23rd (Thu), at 1 pm, the Tongil Group invited Rev. Man-Ho Kim, Chairman of FFWPU World Headquarters, and held a donation ceremony to collect the 50 laptops given by organizations and enterprises, including the Tongil Foundation, from August 25th to September 30th in order to support world missionaries. With the hope of playing a small part in world missions, the Tongil Group operated and checked each and every one of the 50 secondhand laptops, exchanged components and repaired the machines so they could be used on the fields without any difficulties.
Rev. Man-Ho Kim, Chairman of FFWPU World Headquarters expressed his gratitude and promised to deliver the laptops safely to the missionary fields in need around the world. A total of 50 secondhand laptops; nine by Tongil Foundation, three by the Missionary Association Foundation, two by the FFWPU, 10 by Ilhwa Co.Ltd., 18 by the Yongpyong Resort, five by the Segye Ilbo, two by individuals (Rev. Jin-Jong Kim, North Pusan Church and Presbyter Gap-Yong Kim, Seongbuk Church), and one by the Ilsang Ocean Development were donated.
From 2012, the Tongil Group has practiced “Huimang (Hope) Dream Donation of Monthly Pay Remaining Sum” by gathering a small amount not exceeding 10,000 won from executives and staff members’ monthly pay to support various organizations in need. The Tongil Group is also making various social contributions by donating secondhand laptops and other items. |
