2015 Tongil Group Hope Dream Salary Round-Off Service Project Voting Results
Ideas for the Salary Round-Off Service Project have gone through two rounds of voting since November 5th, 2014. The results of the voting are displayed below. As the funds for the project are composed of the salary round-off contributions from Tongil Group executives, these contributors have taken the voting very seriously. (Executive votes make up 70% and online votes make up 30% of the total).
A total of 1,096 people participated (first round: 663 people, second round: 433 people), with a total of 1,382 votes (first round: 771 votes, second round, 611 votes) *multiple votes allowed As a result of the voting, the project to pay medical expenses of multicultural families came in first place, with a total of 269 votes. However, in 2014, Tongil Group donated 75,000,000 won to the Multicultural General Welfare Center to be used for emergency medical fees for multicultural families (3.5 million from salary round-off contributions and four million from affiliate company sponsorship). After donating about three million won (40%) to that project in 2014, the remaining 4.5 million won is slated to roll over to the same project in 2015. Thus, the targeted beneficiaries of the 2015 service project will be selected from the projects that received 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the voting process.
The Salary Round-Off Project began in 2012. In 2013, 24 million won was raised, followed by 35 million in 2014 and then another 41 million by the end of the year, bringing the grand total to 100 million won. The Salary Round-Off Project is yet a small venture, but we resolve to do our best to actualize true love. Information on the 2015 Tongil Group Hope Dream Salary Round-Off Presentation Ceremony 1.
