After that, Securewon’s Team leader Jae-Min So gave a presentation entitled, “Data Backup, Introducing the Latest IT Trend,” explaining the latest backup solutions and methods that are being developed recently.
Next was a session to present the backup cases of the affiliate companies. First of all, CheongShim IT’s Team Leader Hee-Chul Un spoke about the backup solution used at Cheong Shim Group focusing on the IDC that they are managing. Next, Data processing Manager Ji-Heon Lee shared about the implementation and advantages of the backup dual system at the Ilhwa factory in Guri and Chuncheon.
After a short break, the second part of the day’s sessions began. In this part, the Tongil Group’s data processing employees led a demonstration education session to prepare for situations where data is lost or cannot be recovered.
SCGS Engineer Ha-Gyun Kim gave a brief explanation on cases of recovery through the Acronis backup solution and led a demonstration of data restoration. Four companies; TIC, Seonwon Construction, JC and Seilo participated in the data restoration demonstration. It was organized so that they had a chance to experiment with recovering their actual backup data used in their companies in Yeosu. All four companies who participated in this session succeeded in recovering their data.
For the last session, the Foundation’s Manager Jong-Heon Lim gave a review on the backup situation of the affiliate companies. Manager Hyeon-Chul Hong, in charge of data processing at the Mission Foundation, which participated as the representative providential organization, gave an introduction on the Mission Foundation and the Assets Management Department.
After concluding the education sessions, the first day ended with a survey for the participants.
After finishing all the workshop schedule, the Tongil Group data processing employees looked over the ocean from the Cheong Hae Garden and resolved to do their best as managers in 2016 to secure the intangible and tangible assets. They then did some sightseeing around Cheong Hae Garden, concluding the workshop.
