In his words of encouragement, Family Federation for World Peace and Unification Korea President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu presented examples of other religious groups who were able to successfully manage businesses once they realized the value of religion. “Companies see an increase in result and efficiency if all staff members share the same core values. Tongil Group must work to unite all its employees centered on the ideas and values of its founder and improve its performance by operating authentic businesses.” President Ryu also described the Vision 2020 goal and policies and strategies of the Korean Headquarters to develop and mature as a peoples’ religion.

In his New Year’s address, Tongil Foundation Chairman Yun-Gi Choi stated, “The growth that we saw from 2008 to 2012 is slowing down due to various social issues. Compared to last year, economic experts predict a bleak outlook for this year and subsequent years. There are many crises to overcome, but with growth as our goal for the New Year, we will break through our current situation and develop reform strategies to help us move forward with the hope of improvement and product development.” He encouraged all Tongil Group employees to continue investing into its growth despite the current economic situation.

Next, some Tongil Group affiliates were awarded for their outstanding management performance and growth in 2015. YongPyong Resort received the grand prize for bringing results as we approach the Winter Olympics thus, raising its business value. The next prize was awarded to the Il Sang Maritime Industry for strengthening its profit model through its water park and golfing enterprises. Shin Jung Development Co., was also awarded for expanding its market through overseas export.
