[Segye Ilbo] The Family Federation Lays the Foundation for the Creation of Cheon Il Guk ③ The Foundation is laid through the Speech, “The Law of Heaven.” The “Word” is Compressed into the three Holy Scriptures…Including the “Model” Constitution for an Ideal World. The plans for the ideal world of God’s will, longed for by all humankind, are now being revealed by Cheon Il Guk. The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (Family Federation) has poured all of their efforts into the establishment of Cheon Il Guk, passing through the Reclamation Period, the Era of the Wilderness and the Settlement Era, and is now entering the Completion Era of Cheon Il Guk, God’s nation. The Family Federation is now going through a great transition period. A system is required for the settlement following that transition. The first point is the inheritance business. The Family Federation runs a publishing company that has compiled the works and accomplishments of the spiritual teachers, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, into Three Holy Scriptures, to lay down a model course for all of humankind. It also carries out the great work of leaving behind the historical legacy of the salvation of humankind. After the proclamation of Cheon Il Guk and the establishment of God’s nation, the natural next step is the establishment of “Heavenly Law,” of a Constitution. The Cheon Il Guk Constitution will become the custom, model and guide for the settlement of Cheon Il Guk. From a providential standpoint, the proclamation of the Constitution holds great significance. The Three Holy Scriptures and the outline of the Constitution will become the foundation for the creation of Cheon Il Guk. The Three Holy Scriptures One of the most important businesses passed on to Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon is the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures publishing company. The company has taken over 650 massive volumes of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s speeches and categorized, compressed and organized them into the ‘Cheon Seong Gyeong, the Peace Scriptures and the True Parents’ Scriptures,’ also inserting the missions of the citizens of Cheon Il Guk and speeches by Dr. Han. The Cheon Seong Gyeong and the Peace Scriptures were published last year on the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of the Family Federation. The True Parents’ Scriptures are to be dedicated during the Commemoration Ceremony for the First Anniversary of Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day on February 12th (January 13th by the lunar calendar). The Cheon Seong Gyeong contains about 1,500 pages of speeches by Rev. Moon, categorized under sections on God, True Parents, True Love, etc. It contains the essence of Rev. Moon’s theology. The Family Federation emphasizes that the Cheon Seong Gyeong must play the deciding role in bringing about Cheon Il Guk, through preparing love, truth, new life and character for humankind. The Peace Scriptures are a collection of Rev. Moon’s domestic and international speeches. Through the Yeouido World Rally for Korean Freedom in 1975, the United States Bicentennial Speech at the Washington Monument in 1976, and many other rallies and public lectures, Rev. Moon has outlined a vision for a peaceful world village. The Peace Scriptures contain 178 of his 340 written speeches that have been compiled into a 1,700-page, 10-volume collection that comprehensively reveals the theology and vision of Rev. Moon and Dr. Han. The True Parents’ Scriptures contain moving speeches by Rev. Moon and Dr. Han on their life’s course. It contains about 1,700 pages in 13 volumes on True Parents’ birth, growth, calling and holy marriage, as well as various works for the salvation of humankind and the realization of world peace. The Family Federation explains it as the record of their bringing about the settlement of God’s will on earth.
Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon bestowed the Cheon Seong Gyeong and the Peace Scriptures on the Family Federation Korean Regional Directors at the Gyeonggi, Gapyeong-gun Cosmic Cheong Pyeong Training Center on June 10th of last year.
#The Cheon Il Guk Constitution The Cheon Il Guk Constitution has gone through many public hearings, and on August 23rd of last year, the most recent version was dedicated to Dr. Han. The Constitution then went through the processes of the establishment of foundational laws and preparations for formal publication before it was proclaimed at the Commemoration Ceremony for the First Anniversary of Foundation Day. The Constitution will be implemented 60 days after the proclamation. The Constitution will include 11 chapters, 10 paragraphs, 92 articles and 190 clauses, including special sections, such as the Family Pledge and other supplementary provisions. With 11,978 characters (on squared manuscript paper), the Cheon Il Guk Constitution is 6,699 characters shorter than the Constitution of the Republic of Korea. The first chapter includes general content on God, True Parents and Cheon Il Guk. The second chapter contains the rights and responsibilities of the citizens of Cheon Il Guk. The third chapter specifies the composition of the Supreme Legislative Organization and the Supreme Council. Dr. Han vested these highest ranking officials with the power of acting as her proxy in the case of an accident. The highest officials also have the power of deciding the heirs of the Family Federation. Sections 4 through 8 discuss the matters under the jurisdiction, composition, and authority of the Five Authoritative Organizations: the Cheon Jeong Won (天政苑, Heavenly Politics), the Cheon Ui Won (天議苑, Heavenly Legislature), the Cheon Bop Won (天法苑, Heavenly Law), the Cheon Jae Won (天財苑, Heavenly Finance) and the Cheon Gong Won (天公苑, Heavenly Public Affairs). Generally, the working national power will be divided into three realms. Rev. Moon stressed the division of five realms, including the media and banking realms. The Chinese character “Won” (苑) used in this context refers to not just an institution (院, “won”) or a normal garden (園, “won”), but an imperial, national garden, symbolizing the Garden of Eden. The 9th chapter refers to Cheon Il Guk as a self-governing body, while the 10th chapter discusses the election administration. And the 11th chapter outlines the amendments to the Constitution. The Cheon Il Guk Constitution will play the role of guide, model and customs for the realization of the ideal original life. Although the road to Cheon Il Guk, longed for by all of humankind, has been lukewarm until now, from the moment of the proclamation of the Constitution, people who have not been able to become citizens of Cheon Il Guk will now be led by the Constitution to Cheon Il Guk as a lighthouse guides boats to the shore. Constitution and the Three Holy Scriptures. The first is Jae Seuk Lee, Vice
Chairman of the Holy Scriptures Editing Committee (82, Family Federation for
World Peace and Unification World President), who played a leading role in the
goals and requisites of the Holy Scriptures, the decisions regarding the
inheritance business and guidance in the direction of the editing of the
scriptures. Jin Choon Kim of the Cheon Il Guk Legislation Committee (58, Cheong
Shim Graduate School of Theology President), has been involved ever since the
kick-off of the Cheon Il Guk Constitution Committee, and played an active role
in managing the Legislative Committee and as the Secretary General.
If I were to summarize the Cheon Seong Gyeong, Peace Scriptures, and the True Parents’ Scriptures…
“First of all, the Cheon Seong Gyeong is a collection of quotes from Rev. Moon’s speeches. He gave many public lectures during his lifetime, so the Peace Scriptures can be said to be a sort of collection of his lectures. For the True Parents’ Scriptures, we collected content from Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon’s speeches, compiling them into a volume about their lives and achievements. Each volume is very deep and full of grace.”

Second, because the word is made up of love, truth and life, those three elements must be cooked well and seasoned with creed, doctrine, ceremony and song before consuming. Moon’s wishes here on earth.”

“God’s Word (logos) forms the basic theology of the Cheon Il Guk Constitution, as well as the “3 generations of a blessed family” and the “cosmic extended family.” In addition, fallen nature, the Messiah, all of humankind, resurrection and content on Restoration, all make up the ideological foundation of the Constitution. This is because we cannot accomplish the original ideal of Creation if we do not get rid of fallen nature and the evil lifestyle. The basis for the laws are derived from the doctrine of the Unification Church and the words of Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Divine Principle.”

“After the Constitution is proclaimed on the 12th (January 13th by the lunar calendar) at the Commemorative Ceremony for the First Anniversary of Cheon Il Guk, we will take 60 days for publication and education before we begin enforcing it. We need continued research and discussion in order to educate people on the necessity and meaning behind the Cheon Il Guk Constitution. The related acts must also be researched and inspected before they are established. Sixty days following the proclamation, our first priority will be to closely examine the Cheon Il Guk Supreme Council to confirm that it can be managed smoothly.”
