The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (Korean President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu) plans to launch a full-scale campaign to build the 5^th UN Executive Office in the DMZ World Peace Park.

Family Federation Korean President Kyeung-Seuk Ryu held a press conference at the Press Center on the 9^th. In commemoration of the 2^nd Anniversary of Foundation Day, which will occur on March 3^rd (January 13^th by the lunar calendar), on the 2^nd, the “2015 Unification in the Korean Peninsula and Peace in Northeast Asia Symposium” will be held at the National Assembly Memorial Hall. At the event, proposals will be made for a railroad throughout Northeast Asia and a DMZ Peace Park, as well as a proposal outlining the need for a UN executive office in the Korean Peninsula. Aside from the headquarters in New York City, the UN currently has executive offices in Nairobi, Vienna and Geneva. Currently, a campaign is being held for an Asian office centered in Gyeonggi-do.

The Family Federation plans to hold many events in celebration of Foundation Day. The International Leadership Conference will be held under the motto, ““Beyond the Challenges of Our Time: Transforming the Society, Nation and World.” The event will be attended by leaders and VIPs from many nations. The 21^st World Media Conference, under the banner “Prospects for Peace in Northeast Asia,” will be held for five days beginning on March 1^st at the Lotte Hotel, and will be attended by about 300 press representatives from Korea and 40 different nations. In commemoration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, and in order to discuss the creation of a new era of peace for Northeast Asia, the “Korea-Japan Youth University Students Peace Symposium” will be held at the National Assembly Memorial Hall on March 2^nd.
